The following is a copy of last year's minutes of the LLHO General Membership Meeting for your inspection and approval at this year's Membership Meeting at noon, Sunday July 13 at the Loon Lake Jewish Center.( Note: Dues will be collected 11:30-12:00: Note also, Annual Picnic will begin at noon on Sunday July 27 at the beach.)


MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL MEETING OF LOON LAKE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, HELD AT LOON LAKE JEWISH CENTER JULY 15, 2007 AT 12 NOON.

34 in attendance, President Keith Silliman in the Chair.

Silliman opened the meeting by welcoming also those in attendance, thanking the Loon Lake Jewish Center for providing the venue for the meeting, and introducing David Petrelli to speak on the subject of the Loon Lake Mountain Fire Tower.

Petrelli distributed a handout listing contact people re the Tower, and reported:


Silliman then introduced Vince Pagano to speak about "Emergency Preparedness".

Minutes of the last Annual Meeting were approved.


The Treasurer's report showed $4,100 in the savings account, $920 in checking


Silliman then delivered his President's Report:
-as of Oct. '06, we had 55-60 paid-up members, and as of 07/12/07, 17 paid up for this year. He encouraged people to fill out the distributed membership forms, giving their e-mail addresses
- discussed the possibility of getting a grant for a "lake steward", and also a photographic survey of the lake.
- reported we supported Paul Smith's College (lake quality), St.Paul's food pantry

LOON LAKE HOMEOWNERS ASSOC. -2-ANNUAL MEETING 07/15/07

-read the Association Mission Statement" to preserve, protect and enhance the water quality, and environment of Loon Lake.
-reported that the water quality of the lake is high, 4 adult loons were seen last Saturday, and 5 on Sunday while last Columbus Day 70 were seen.
- asked for volunteer support for the picnic, suggested a 1 PM start, and said an invitation would be extended to "Loon Lake Live" to perform.

-suggested we lobby the Town of Franklin to consider developing subdivision rights.
- reported "no developments" concerning possible development on the golf course.

NEW BUSINESS
Regarding the boat ramp, new metal rods, and posts being needed, Silliman canvassed the meeting for volunteers with the necessary skills to do the work. Reyes, _____, Garrow, and Chuck Reyes volunteered.


Elections were held to fill the unexpired 1 year term on the Board of Directors of Moira Lemay who has resigned, and to fill three three-year positions. Upon nominations made, ballots were distributed, and the results were: Joseph Lemay (1 year term), Tom Bartiss, Chuck Reyes, and Diane Castrovinci each elected to a 3-year term.


Suggestion that "Catch and Release" signs be posted for fishing, and that we use the DCO for enforcement.
Before adjournment, the meeting expressed a great vote of thanks to Keith Silliman for his efforts.
