"Michael Keller's Spring Bass Catch and Release"

Michael Keller of Hollis Hills, NY, reports that on May 15, 2015, while visiting life-long friend (and Loon Lake Homeowner's Association member) Brian Keill, he caught and released the bass in the picture below, along with two similarly-sized bass. He reports the bass were feeding ravenously around dusk. He says that he would have likely released them all even if they'd been in season because, in his words, "I just can't take a filet knife to such beautiful fish in such a beautiful lake." A true sportsman!

(Note: New York State fishing regulations only allow anglers to keep large-mouth and small-mouth bass from the third Saturday in June until November 30th, all other times the bass must be released.)
